SURE-STEP provides improved chemical and abrasion resistance, and is more comfortable to bare feet on treated surfaces than sand or aggregate additives. The product’s low density and insolubility characteristics will help reduce settling and provide optimum performance in its various applications, without changing the viscosity. Due to its low density, SURE-STEP stays suspended in thin materials.
CS-309 is a colourless transparent curing and sealing compound formulated from acrylic polymers and quick-evaporating solvents. When applied on freshly placed concrete, it forms a tough, uniform, moisture-retentive film, which simultaneously cures and seals the concrete. CS-309 meets the 350 g/L VOC limit for concrete curing compounds.
CS-309 is used for curing and sealing newly placed concrete in commercial and industrial applications, such as floors, sidewalks, service stations, multi-level parking decks, and driveways.
CS-309 is recommended for exterior use. The product is non- yellowing due to ultraviolet light exposure. It provides a durable finish that resists chemicals, oil, grease, deicing salts, and abrasion.
For interior applications, specify and apply
VOCOMP®-20, VOCOMP-25, or VOCOMP-30 curing and sealing compound from W. R. MEADOWS.

Surface Preparation … Apply as soon as all surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workers. Surface to receive sealer must be dry and free of contaminants. Remove all stains or discolourations.
Application Method … Apply using low-pressure sprayer, such as a Chapin 19049. An 80° fan pattern spray tip rated at 1.8 L (1.0 gpm), such as a Chapin 6-5797, provides an excellent even coating. Please contact sprayer manufacturer to ensure suitability of sprayer with product.
Product should not be applied during high temperature conditions in direct sunlight. These conditions cause rapid evaporation, which does not allow the film to form properly. Under these conditions, the film may peel, bubble, and/or turn white (blush). Surface temperature of the concrete must be between 10° – 32° C (50° – 90° F).
Apply product as soon as all surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workmen. Apply evenly over entire surface; avoid puddling in low areas. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferred.
Product should not be applied to concrete containing excessive moisture. Entrapped moisture in a solvent-based sealer may cause the film to peel and/or turn white (blush).
Additional coats may be applied once a previous coat has dried.
For optimum protection, apply a further coating of the product and/or apply a coating of
HIAC™, or HIAC-PLUS. Note: Concrete must be a minimum of seven days old prior to the application of HIAC or HIAC-PLUS.
Note: In cases when product is applied to existing concrete surfaces (more than 28 days old), the variations in colouration of the sands and aggregate present in the existing surface may be enhanced, causing the surface to appear discoloured.
Drying Time … Product dries quickly. Drying times may be extended depending on application rate, temperature, humidity, and project conditions. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferable.
Cleanup … Clean tools after use with a solvent such as SEALTIGHT SOLVENT, xylene, or toluol.
